When recording to or deleting images in the SmartMedia Card, do not remove the SmartMedia Card or turn power off the camera. Do not use or place the SmartMedia Card in any location full of high static electricity or electrical noise. If you select PC Camera Mode, system will configure the following devices automatically. If you select Mass Storage Mode, system will configure the following devices automatically. -USB Mass Storage Driver -Card Reader USB Device Getting to Know Your Camera Front view 1. Battery Cover NOTE: We recommend that you gently open the battery cover to avoid damaging it. Inserting/Removing the SmartMedia Card Turn off the power of the camera. Slide the switch on the card slot cover in the direction shown below. Insert the SmartMedia Card in the direction of the arrow. Getting Your Camera Ready Attaching the Strap Insert the thin end of the strap into the strap holder. Close the card slot cover. Remove the SmartMedia Card in the direction of the arrow. Slide the other end of the strap through the loop. Pull the strap tightly. NOTE: · The SmartMedia Card specification for this camera is: 3. 3V (4/8/16/32/64/128MB). · If you insert the Smart Media card in the wrong direction, it won't fit. · · If a write-protect sticker is attached at the write-protect area, this message will be displayed on the LCD display. If the camera detects no SmartMedia Card, gently wipe the metal interface of the card with a soft cloth and reload the card again. Loading the Batteries Turn off the power of the camera. Slide the switch on the battery cover in the direction indicated by the arrow. · · Button Modes Shutter button: Press this button to take pictures or to confirm selected item or mode. Mode button: Press this button to switch to required function or photography mode. The sequential order of functions is as follows: Insert the batteries as shown on the inside of the cover. · Select button: A. To turn on/off movie recording mode. Close and lock the battery cover. 2 · FLASH mode switch: To switch to flash mode, the order is as follows: Auto Power OFF Function If no operation is carried out for a fixed amount of time (about 30 sec), the power is turned OFF to prevent battery wear. Please use a stand or a tripod to avoid blurring images caused by an unstable camera in shadowy locations. · Do not block the Red-eye Reduction LED when holding the camera. Basic Operation · · Turn on the power of the camera. When the flash is over, the camera is ready to take the next photo. ) Getting Started Power On/Off · Slide the lens cover down gently. · The LCD will display and add up the number of pictures taken. · When the internal memory or SmartMedia Card is full, the following message appears on the LCD display and the camera will beep four times.
