The Shadowcaster CD game is only compatible with Microsoft DOS versions 5. 0 or higher. Q: Why does my computer crash when I try to play Shadowcaster CD through Microsoft Windows (Windows NT, IBM OS/2, Desqview, etc. )?A: "Multi-tasking environments" -- Windows, Desqview, IBM OS/2, and so forth -- often conflict in their use of memory and other system resources with Shadowcaster CD. If you do run the game under a multi-tasker, do not swap to another application. We recommend that you log out of Windows (or any similar application) and play from the DOS prompt. [. . . ] Use Caun's Distant Grab to get the Amulet of Defense (A5), Power Potion (R2) and the Ice Wand (W9). Break down the walls (as Grost), then use the bombs (W6) on the Flying Skulls. Use Distant Grab to get the Chalice of Power (M2) and the Gate Key (T34) (both this key and the one from the Flooded Caverns open the gate to this level's exit).
