[. . . ] The game checks your system and optimises itself to your machine's capabilities. Normality will run from a PC running Microsoft Windows® 95 and is preset to run in two different modes. To run the game concurrently with Windows® 95 simply click the icon called NORMALW. As this runs the game with Windows® 95 running in the background it is a good idea to have as few applications running as possible. If you have any problems running under Windows® 95 you can click on the icon called NORMALD. Incorrect use of the doll may lead to bouts of Normalization and the makers of this game will accept no responsibility for incorrect usage of the Voodoo doll. Use A u t o s a v e to restart from the point where the game automatically last saved (see Options: Help for info), if you have it set to save every ten minutes you'll be taken back ten minutes in gameplay time. To load a previously saved game press F 1 0 to view the Load Game screen. You can also increase the speed of the game by changing the screen mode in the Options menu from SVGA to VGA. [. . . ] Due to hardware conflicts, autodetecting for sound cards can be risky process. If you know the brand, port address, IRQ, and DMA of your sound card(s), it is recommended that you manually configure these items. Lockups are also common when autodetection is used when no sound cards are installed. You may have the wrong sound card selected, or incorrect port, IRQ or DMA settings. [. . . ]
