[. . . ] The TV/DVD/VCR will automatically turn on. · Avoid moisture. Moisture condensation may occur on the tape if it is moved from a cold place to a warm place or visa versa. Before using a tape with these conditions, to avoid damage of the tape and your TV/DVD/VCR, wait until the tape has warmed to room temperature and the moisture has evaporated. Do not touch the tape with your fingers. · · · Window CORRECT WRONG TWO DIFFERENT TAPE SPEEDS Before recording, select the tape speed from : SP mode (Standard Play) or SLP mode (Super Long Play). The table below shows the maximum recording/playback time using T60, T120 or T160 tapes in each mode. Note: You can play back a tape recorded in LP mode (Long Play). ERASE PREVENTION You can prevent accidental erasing of recording by breaking off the tab on the back edge of the cassette. Tab If you decide to record on the tape again, cover the hole with plastic tape. Transparent Tape NOTE: · In DVD mode, the cassette will not start playing automatically when you insert it, whether the tab is present or not. In TV/VCR mode, a cassette without the tab will start playing automatically. · TV/DVD/VCR power must be turned on. SLOW MOTION TV/VCR During pause, press the FWD button to reduce the playback speed. NOTE: If it is left in the Slow mode for more than five minutes, the TV/DVD/VCR will automatically go into the Stop mode. 1 Insert a prerecorded tape If the erase-protection tab has been removed, the TV/DVD/VCR will start playback automatically. 2 To begin playback PLAY B PICTURE SEARCH TV/VCR This feature is very useful in finding or skipping over a particular scene on a tape. 1)You may view a video tape at a high speed in either a forward or reverse direction by pressing the F. FWD or REW button during playback. Then, press the ENTER button. Set "RENTAL" to [ON] ­ USER'S SET UP ­ Press the Arrow button K or L to point to "RENTAL". Press the ENTER button until [ON] appears. B RENTAL REPEAT PLAY AUTO RETURN VCR AUDIO TV AUDIO [ON] [OFF] [OFF] [HIFI] [STEREO] 2 Select "ALL" or "BLANK" ­ USER'S SET UP ­ 3 Exit the Rental setting Press the Arrow button K or L to point to "REPEAT PLAY". Press the ENTER button repeatedly until your desired selection [ALL] or [BLANK] appears. RENTAL B REPEAT PLAY AUTO RETURN VCR AUDIO TV AUDIO [OFF] [ALL] [OFF] [HIFI] [STEREO] Press the SETUP button on the remote control to return to the TV mode. 3 Exit the Repeat Play setting 4 Start playback Press the SETUP button on the remote control to return to the TV mode. Press the PLAY button to start playback. · Once you select the Rental mode, it stays in effect even after you turn off the TV/DVD/VCR. 4 Start playback TO CANCEL THE RENTAL MODE Repeat steps [1] and [2], select [OFF] using the ENTER button on the remote control. If there is a power failure of any kind, the tv/vcr/dvd will retain its memory for this feature. Press the PLAY button to start the Repeat Play. · Once you select the Repeat Play mode, it stays in effect even after you turn off the TV/DVD/VCR. · If the Rental mode is set [ON], the "RENTAL PLAY B" display has priority. TO CANCEL THE REPEAT PLAY MODE Repeat steps [1] and [2], select [OFF] using the ENTER button on the remote control. If there is a power failure of any kind, the TV/DVD/VCR will retain its memory for this feature. - 26 - EN 1C29 SEARCH Make sure . . . · Insert a tape. ZERO RETURN TV/VCR This function allows you to search easily a beginning point that you want to review by rewinding or fast forwarding. NOTE: Zero Return WILL NOT work on a blank tape or a blank portion of a tape. · This function will not operate in recording mode. · This function is not operative when a cassette tape is not inserted in the TV/DVD/VCR.
