If you wish to exit from setup utility, press the Esc key to go to the Exit Menu. If you wish to move to another menu, use the cursor keys. POWER SAVINGS MENU ­ SETTING POWER MANAGEMENT FEATURE CONTROLS The Power Savings menu allows you to set and change the power management parameters. Follow the instructions for Navigating Through The Setup Utility to make any changes. (See pages 54­55. ) Table 3-11 shows the names of the menu fields for the Power Savings menu, all of the options for each field, the default settings and a description of the field's function and any special information needed to help understand the field's use. Figure 3-11 Power Savings Menu 83 Section Three POINT Most power management parameters can also be set from the Windows ® 95 desktop without entering the setup utility, using PowerPanel by Phoenix® Technologies. If you choose a factory combination of parameters, this field will display the setting. If you choose to customize the parameters, you will be able to set this yourself. Sets the state of the CPU during periods of inactivity on your notebook. Sets the length of time without any user input device activity before the CPU Speed is set to the level selected in the CPU Speed: field and the display and the hard drive are turned off.
