[. . . ] Determine a suitable location on either the supply or return for the unit as shown in Figure 1. The unit must be mounted at least 3 feet from any flex duct type material. NOTE: Unit can only be mounted in a vertical position as noted on inside cover label. Drill 1/8" diameter mounting holes at positions indicated on template. [. . . ] Install the angled bracket and secure to the unit base with the hex nuts provided. (See Figure 11) The angle bracket may be mounted in 4 positions allowing the bulb to either be angled up and down or left to right, depending upon duct design. (Figures A-D) NOTE: Be sure to note location of lamp hole in bracket relative to unit base. You will need to determine proper lamp selection based on duct size and desired configuration. Insert lamp through hole in bracket until lamp is snug against the bracket. Avoid touching the glass portion of the lamp with your hands. Page 4 18. Swing securing bracket over end of lamp and hand-tighten the provided wing nut on stud. (The view port is covered with a plastic lens that blocks the UVC rays. ) 22. If the lamp is not glowing, make sure the wiring is correct and that the ballast is plugged in securely to lamp. If lamp still does not glow, contact technical support at 1-252-522-3031 for further assistance. After unit has been found to be working properly, note date of installation on inside cover, close cover and engage latch. Apply supplied wire tie to latch or other locking mechanism to provide safety. WARNING: Never expose eyes or skin to UVC light from any source. BULB MOUNTING BRACKET SELECTION AND INSTALLATION The UV-AIRETM units come with an angled mounting bracket and flat mounting bracket to position the bulb either straight or at an angle. Refer to the configurations chart below when making your selection. Replace your UV-AireTM Air Purifying System lamp once a year to maintain the lamps maximum output intensity. The lamp should operate continuously for maximum lamp life and light effectiveness. V. REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE VERY IMPORTANT: Turn switch on unit to `OFF' position and disconnect from power source. [. . . ] At the time of request for warranty service, the purchaser must present proof of purchase documentation which includes the date of purchase (for example, a receipt or sales slip). If the malfunction or failure is a result of defects covered by this warranty, Field will, at its option, repair the product or replace it and return it to the purchaser.
