TRICKS WITH THE SKIP BUTTONS (H, G) If the SKIP button G is pressed during playback or while playback is paused, the current track is skipped and the next track is played. When the SKIP button H is pressed once, the top of the current track is located for replaying. When the SKIP button H is pressed again while playback is paused, the previous track is located. Each time the SKIP button H is pressed while playback is paused, the disc is searched backward track by track. Once playback has started, pressing the SKIP button H locates the top of the current track. 1 Press the FWD g or REV h button during playback. (The sound for DVD is muted. ) · For DVDs, pressing the FWD g or REV h button cycles the playback speed in three steps. REV E Button Ex2 · For audio CDs, the playback speed is fixed. FWD D Button Dx2 Ex8 Dx8 Ex32 Dx32 2 Press the PLAY button to return to normal playback speed. SLOW MOTION DVD 1 Press the FWD g button while playback is paused. (Sound remains muted. ) STARTING FROM A DESIRED TIME COUNT DVD CD · Slow motion mode will be activated. · Pressing the FWD g button cycles the playback speed in three steps. Select an appropriate speed while referring to the speed indication on the screen. FWD D Button 1/16 1 Press the SEARCH MODE button. SEARCH/TIME TOTAL TIME 1h23m45s TIME [ _h__m__s ] · Press the button three times for DVDs or two times for audio CDs. Start Exit 1/8 2 1/2 Press the number buttons to set the desired time count. SEARCH/TIME TOTAL TIME: 1h23m45s · Example: 1 hour, 23 minutes and 2 Press the PLAY button to return to normal playback speed. · 30 seconds TIME [1h23m30s] _ 1+10+103 Start +10+10+100 To enter 0 (zero), press the number 0 (zero) button or press the B button. Exit NOTES: · Slow playback is not available with audio CDs. · The reverse of slow playback is not available. 3 Press the PLAY button. Playback will then start from the set time count. STARTING FROM A DESIRED TRACK CD NOTES: · Playback from a desired time count is not available with some discs. · Specific time playback is not available with some discs or if the unit is in stop mode. - 23 - EN 1B17 PLAYING FROM A DESIRED TITLE OR CHAPTER DVD REPEAT DVD CD · Press the number buttons to enter the desired chapter number during playback. The selected chapter will be located within the current title and then played back. · Title search starts when any number button is pressed during stop mode. You can also press the SEARCH MODE button, use the number or K/L buttons to enter the chapter number, and then press the PLAY button. SEARCH/CHAPTER · For title search, call up the chapTOTAL CHAPTERS: 027 ter search screen, press the CHAPTER [ 15 ] _ SEARCH MODE button, and then operate in the same manner Start Exit as above. Pressing the SEARCH MODE butSEARCH/TITLE ton during playback causes the curTOTAL TITLES: 07 rent chapter or title number to be TITLE [ 5 ] _ displayed in square brackets. NOTE: Playback from a desired title or chapter is not available with some DVDs. Start Exit 1 Press the REPEAT button. For DVDs · A single title or chapter is played back repeatedly. · Pressing the REPEAT button cycles the display on the screen as follows. REPEAT [CHAPTER] The current chapter is played back repeatedly. No repeat playback. REPEAT [TITLE] REPEAT [OFF] · If normal playback is performed after REPEAT CHAPTER has been selected without any chapter number entered, the first chapter is played back repeatedly. If the chapter number is changed using the number buttons or the SKIP buttons (H G) during playback, the newly selected chapter is played back repeatedly.
