[. . . ] The Sensor can be remotely located in the area where temperature measurement is desired. The Sensor connects via a 4 conductor cable to the terminals of either an ELK Clock/Calendar Module(ELK-MC100) or the supplied Interface board. This board is plugged onto the Magic Module Accessory Connector(J1) as shown in figure1. Note: Keep the cable length to a minimum (less than 20 feet) and away from transient sources such as AC Power Lines, Phone lines, etc. The Temperature Sensor (ELK-MT100) includes a small interface board which plugs into the white 5pin Accessory Connector (J1) on the Magic Module. However, if a Clock/Calendar Module (ELKMC100) is already installed, the Sensor may be connected directly to it, without the need for the interface board. Insert the flanged end of the supplied nylon standoffs into the holes opposite the terminal strip and on the bottom side of the Interface board. Plug this circuit board into the white 5-pin Accessory Connector (J1) on the Magic Module.
