They show safe and correct ways to handle the product so as to prevent personal injury to you, others and to avoid property damage. [. . . ] · While receiving the traffic announcement, you can adjust the volume and the changed volume is stored. The next time you receive the traffic announcement, the volume will be switched to the stored level. · When the unit receives the EON station, [EON] indicator is lit on the display. If the station you are currently listening to does not broadcast the traffic announcement, the unit searches for other traffic announcement broadcasting automatically and switches to that station. If the traffic announcement is received in the mode other than "Radio", the mode is automatically switched to radio mode, and you can listen to the traffic announcement. When the traffic announcement ends, the unit returns to the previous mode. When both TP and TA are set to ON: When the traffic announcement is received, the [TA] indicator is lit on the display. When the traffic announcement becomes unreceivable, the [TA] indicator flashes. Only when the traffic announcement is received, the mute is cancelled and you can listen to the traffic announcement. If the station you are currently listening to is not a traffic information station, the unit tunes in traffic information station automatically ([TP-SEEK] is displayed). If the traffic announcement cannot be received, [NOTHING] is displayed. If the traffic announcement is received in the mode other than radio, the mode is automatically switched to radio mode, and you can listen to the traffic announcement. When the traffic announcement ends, the unit returns to the previous mode. VII 153 Operation Setting PTY (program type) With RDS stations, the name of the broadcasting station and program category information are transmitted and can be displayed on the unit's display. It is also possible to select only those RDS stations that are broadcasting the genre selected by using the PTY function. 2 While the genres above (NEWS, SPORTS, TALK, POP and CLASSICS) are displayed for longer than one second, press the [ ] or [ ] button.
