We are sure that you will use your Ducati for longer journeys as well as short daily trips, but however you use your motorcycle, Ducati Motor Holding S. p. A. recommends that you adhere strictly to the instructions in this manual, especially those regarding the running-in period. This will ensure that your Ducati motorcycle will continue to be a pleasure to ride. [. . . ] Operate the control to check that the inner cable slides smoothly: if you feel any friction or catching, have the cable replaced by a Ducati Dealer or Authorized Service Centre.
