E Important It is recommended all brake and clutch tubes be changed every four years. Clutch system If the control lever has exceeding play and the transmission snatches or jams as you try to engage a gear, it means that there is air in the circuit. Contact your Ducati Dealer or an authorized workshop to have the system inspected and air drained out. Warning Brake fluid level will increase as clutch plate friction material wears down. Do not exceed specified level (3 mm above minimum level). MAX MIN fig. 36) To facilitate inspection without removing the pads from the calipers, brake pads have a wear mark. If the grooves in the friction material are still visible, the pad is still in good condition. Important Have the brake pads replaced at a Ducati Dealer or authorized workshop. Lubricating cables and joints The condition of the outer sheaths of the throttle and cold start cables should be checked at regular intervals. Work the controls to make sure the cable slides smoothly inside the sheath: if you feel any friction or hard spots, have the cable replaced by your Ducati Dealer or authorized workshop.
