The Guide lists programs according to their time slot and channel. With it, you can tune to a program, be notified when a program is about to start, order pay per view programs, search through listings by the type of program you're looking for, and set reminders for future viewing. The Channel Scroll Bar shows the position of the channel relative to the total number of channels. The Clock indicates that a Reminder for the program has been set for future viewing. If a Reminder is set, it will always display in the Guide cell. You will get notification before the program starts so that you can tune to it. If program names are too long to fit into a guide cell, they may be shortened. When a program is selected, its full name appears in the banner. The Banner in the guide shows information on the highlighted program such as the rating, title, start and end time, program description, and channel number. It also displays the current time and date and indicates if any special features are currently enabled, such as Favorite Channels (page 21) or SmartSurf (page 20).
