SELECTING YOUR KARAOKE MACHINE AS YOUR SOURCE/INPUT Selecting your Karaoke Machine as a source/input on your TV is very similar to connecting a VCR/DVD or Satellite system. We've listed below the most common ways of selecting the source from your TV or VCR/DVD player: 1. In the set up menu of the TV or VCR/DVD player there may be an option for "Input Select" where you can choose between "Cable/Ant. , Video 1, Video 2, etc. " as the input source. Look for a TV channel between the highest and lowest on your TV or VCR/DVD player (i. e. 3. Your remote control for either your TV or VCR/DVD player may have source input selections that can include one or more of the following: "Video, Video 1, Game, AUX, EXT or LINE-IN. " Choosing one of those sources in most cases should display the lyrics from your Karaoke Machine as well. AUDIO CONNECTION Please follow the steps below to connect the unit to display lyrics on a TV screen or home stereo system. Connect the audio cables (white and red) to the Audio Out on the back of the Karaoke Machine. Connect the other end of the audio cables to the Audio/Auxiliary input on your TV, VCR or home stereo system. CD OR CD+G OPERATION The unit is designed to play CDs bearing either the or logo. If the disc does not confirm to this standard, it may not play properly. When the singer stops singing, the vocals will resume to normal. FM RADIO & LINE IN (AUX) OPERATION LINE IN OPERATION Using LINE IN - connect an audio cable (not included) from the LINE IN socket on the rear of the unit to the external unit's LINE OUT socket. This will allow you to broadcast the external unit's sound through this unit's speaker. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit, slide the CD/RADIO/AUX selector to RADIO position. Then press the SCAN button and the unit will scan the stations again. TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE If you have followed the instructions and are having difficulty operating the unit, locate the PROBLEM in the left column below. Then check the POSSIBLE CAUSE column and its corresponding SOLUTION to locate and remedy the problem. POSSIBLE CAUSE The Karaoke may not be plugged into the wall or batteries are not installed. SOLUTION Insert the adapter plug into an AC outlet or install 6 C size batteries. Select the correct function by CD/RADIO/AUX selector. No sound. 6 Poor radio reception. 1. Interference caused by the vicinity of electrical equipment like TV's, computers, thermostats, etc. For best reception: FM ­ Incline and rotate the telescopic antenna. AM ­ Rotate the entire set and keep the radio away from electrical equipment. Only use discs bearing the CD logos shown below: CD skips tracks. 1. [. . . ] Turn on mic with the ON/OFF switch located on the microphone. No sound ­ if audio is going through TV, VCR, or home stereo. 1. A CDG is loaded but the CDG indicator is not lit.
