CD PLAYER OPERATION The unit is designed to play CDs bearing the logo. If the disc does not confirm to this standard, it may not play properly. CD PLAYBACK Position the FUNCTION SWITCH on CD (the display unit briefly displays "--"). LOADING A DISC - Press the corner marked OPEN/CLOSE on the CD Door to access the CD compartment. (If no disc is loaded the LED Display will show "--" 3 NOTES: - Never place anything except a compact disc in the disc tray. - Refer to the TROUBLESHOOTING guide if a disc is loaded but the total tracks do not appear on the status display. STOP MODE If the STOP button is pressed during playback, the disc will cease to play. NOTE: CD Playback stops automatically when: -The CD compartment is opened. -The CD is finished (and the repeat all function has not been activated). SKIP - During stop mode, you can skip forward or backward to your desired track number by pressing the BACK or NEXT / button. - To resume playing the selected song, press the jeweled PLAY/PAUSE button. SEARCH - When playing any audio CD, press and hold the BACK or NEXT / button to search at high speed in the forward or backward direction. REPEAT - To repeat the track currently playing, press the REP (Repeat) button once. PROGRAM Use the PROG (Program) button to program and play back songs in a preselected order. The Program indicator will turn on and the LED display will read "0" Step 2: Press the double arrow keys (BACK or NEXT / buttons) to select a desired track. Step 4: Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback of your programmed tracks. Continue to press PROG (Program) to see all the tracks in the program list.
