Groups, PQs, Matrixes, or Mains) where you want to route Talkback signal. 4 Press the flashing Route to Selected switch to confirm the as- signment, or press the Cancel switch to cancel the assignment. Talkback Mic connector Talkback, 2-Track and Oscillator States When Loading Shows When you load a Show file, Talkback, 2-Track and Oscillator are controls are set to off (deactivated), regardless of their state when the Show was last saved. Talkback switch Route To Selected switch Using Talkback The Talkback input on the top panel of the D-Show Main Unit can accept signal from any dynamic or condenser microphone. Level control Routing Talkback Microphone Input To route Talkback microphone input to any D-Show Input Channel or FX Return: 1 Go to the Patchbay and click the Inputs tab. AES 1 2 Out In AES 3 4 Out Mon Right L In 2TR In R Out In AES 7 8 Out AES 5 6 Intercom controls on the rear panel of the FOH Rack When activated, the Intercom signal is mixed into the Monitor bus after the source selectors in the Solo/PFL selection, so is audible no matter what source (AFL/PFL, 2-Track, or Main Mix) is sent to the Monitor bus. The Intercom signal can also be routed to any D-Show Input Channel or FX Return. Talkback controls in the Options > Misc page Setting Talkback Dim Level When a Talkback signal is sent to an Output bus, the gain on the corresponding bus is automatically reduced by the amount specified in the Dim Level setting. To set the Talkback Dim Level: 1 Go to the Options page and click the Misc tab. 2 In the Talkback section, double-click the Dim Level text box Routing Intercom Input To route Intercom input to any Input Channel or FX Return: 1 Go to the Patchbay and click the Inputs tab. [. . . ] Input signals with other sample rates are sample-rate converted to 48 kHz. Snake Output Section Stage 1 (Standard) The Snake card accepts the Digital Snake cable (Snake 1) and an optional redundant cable (Snake 2) that connects the FOH Rack to the Stage Rack, handling up to 48 channels of audio. Stage 2 (Optional) An optional second Snake card may be added to the FOH rack to enable the use of a second Stage Rack, increasing capacity to 96 channels of audio. The second Snake card also supports an optional redundant cable. Analog Inputs and Outputs (9­16) These 8 pairs of analog inputs and outputs increase the total number of analog I/O on the FOH Rack to 16. These are balanced, 1/4-inch TRS connectors. Snake Connectors Expansion Section FWx Card (Optional) The optional FWx card enables the D-Show FWx Firewire option, which provides recording and playback of audio with Pro Tools LE. The FOH Rack Digital Snake connectors consist of two pairs of BNC-style connectors (Snake 1 In and Out, Snake 2 In and Out), and two pairs of signal status indicators. Active LED Green LED lights to indicate that connection to FOH Rack is active for the corresponding Snake. [. . . ]
