Please select the types of connections suited for the equipment you are connecting. With some types of connections, certain settings must be made on the RCDM33. For details, refer to the instructions for the respective connection items below. Preparations Cables Used for Connections Select the cables according to the equipment being connected. Using the AM Loop Antenna n To use suspended on a wall Suspend directly on the wall without assembling. NOTE · Do not plug in the power cord until all connections have been completed. · When making connections, also refer to the operating instructions of the other components. · Be sure to connect the left and right channels properly (left with left, right with right). Doing so can result in humming or noise. Input Output ENGLISH Speaker Connections Speakers Connecting the Speaker Cables Carefully check the left (L) and right (R) channels and + (red) and ­ (black) polarities on the speakers being connected to the RCDM33, and be sure to interconnect the channels and polarities correctly. Protection circuit The protection circuit will be activated in thefollowing cases: · When the speaker cable's core wires are touching the rear panel or screws or when the speaker cable's + and ­ sides are touching · When the surrounding temperature is extremely high · When the internal temperature rises due to extended use with a high output If this happens, unplug the power cord, then check the connections of the speaker cables and input cables. If the set's temperature is extremely high, wait for it to cool off and improve surrounding ventilation. Press once more and the display returns to its original condition. Connections n Checking the current time when the power is set to standby Press [TIME/DISPLAY]. Press once more, and the standby display is resumed. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Press ON/STANDBY to turn the power on. Setup Playback Press and hold in [TIME/DISPLAY]. The time is displayed. Displaying the time when the power is set to standby consumes electricity. To reduce electric consumption, turn the time display off. Press and hold in mode. [MENU/SET] to enter time setting NOTE The time cannot be set when in the standby mode. Turn on the power first. Setting the Timer "TIME Adj" is displayed for about 2 seconds. TIME Adj 10:00 10:00 10:15 ON/STANDBY ON/STANDBY [MENU/SET] [2/u] [5/ENTER] [8/i] Use [2/u] or [8/i] to set the "hours". Press [MENU/SET] or [5/ENTER]. The "minutes" display flashes. Other Functions Use [2/u] or [8/i] to set the "minutes". Press [MENU/SET] or [5/ENTER]. Troubleshooting The current time is set, and the normal display reappears.
