(For sources other than Super Audio CDs, the disc's audio information is output as such, regardless of whether this is set to "50kHz" or "100kHz". ) PCM: When playing discs recorded in Dolby Digital or DTS, the signals are converted to 48 kHz/16 bit PCM (2-channel) before being output. 1 2 ON: Linear PCM or packed PCM signals are converted to 48 kHz or less for output. Set to "ON" when using digital connections to an AV amplifier that is not compatible with sampling frequencies of 192 kHz, 176. 4 kHz, 96 kHz and 88. 2 kHz. 1 2 1 2 · When playing discs recorded in linear PCM or packed PCM, the signals are output in linear PCM format, regardless of this setting. · For DVDs containing multi-channel PCM signals, the signals are down-mixed into the 2-channels and output in digital format.
