Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] You may either screw the self- tapers directly into the MDF back panel or use a 2. 5mm drill bit to start the hole. If fitting into a standard fireplace, place the fire evenly into the hole and mark off through and at the TOP of each keyhole slot where on the decorative back panel the holes are required. A 9. 5mm hole is required and we recommend the use of a 2. 5mm drill bit as a pilot hole. You may either place the fire back into the hole and secure into place using the screws provided OR leave the fire out and tighten the screws so they are approx. [. . . ] Add the desired amount of pebbles simply placing them on the tray around the curved screen. The pebbles are natural and therefore there will be variation of size and shape. OPERATING THE FIRE Controls All of the controls are located behind the front door of the fire. You may open the door by placing your hand behind the top left hand side of the frame and pulling. The fire can be activated either by the remote or manual on/off switch. When the switch is pressed to the fully up standby position, the remote will turn the fire on illuminating the flame effect with no heat. The wheel next to the on/off switch is the dimmer; you may turn this to set the light to your desired brightness. The controls for the heat are located at the bottom right hand side of the fire. To obtain heat, press down the switch with the red bar and turn the thermostat to maximum. Once the required room temperature is achieved turn the thermostat towards minimum until you hear a click. Thermostat information: There can be up to a 5 or 6 degrees drop or rise in temperature for the thermostat to activate or deactivate. The temperature is taken from around the fire, unlike a room thermostat that is usually positioned on a wall in the middle of a room. near a working radiator might cause the thermostat not to work efficiently. Page 1 of 2 Automatic safety cut out The heater is fitted with an automatic cut out to prevent any damage due to overheating. To reset the fire, switch the fire off, remove the cause of overheating and allowed to cool for a suitable period then switch the fire back on. MAINTENANCE Before any maintenance/cleaning is undertaken always disconnect the fire from the mains power supply. Replacing light bulbs Your fire uses clear 40watt bayonet light bulbs for the flame effect illumination. Replacements are available from good lighting/hardware or large DIY stores. To change the flame effect bulbs allow a suitable time for the bulbs to cool. [. . . ] WARNINGS · · · · · · · Do not use the fire in the vicinity of a bath shower or swimming pool. Particular caution should be applied to ensure that children do not play with the marbles/coal. As with any electrical appliance whilst the instructions aim to cover as many eventualities as possible, caution and common sense should be applied when operating your appliance, particularly in the vicinity of small children. PROBLEM SOLVING No power to the fire No illumination Illumination but no heat Loud humming noise when illuminated Check the wall socket, plug and fuse. As well as a slight humming noise the sound of rushing air will be apparent. [. . . ]
