WET VACUUMING TOOLS In the event of difficulty, first empty the diffuser cone. EXTRACTION CLEANING The appliance uses cold water to protect floors and fabrics while cleaning, hot water to remove tougher dirt and steam for perfect hygiene on all types of surface. IMPORTANT: make sure the fabrics and surfaces to be cleaned are suitable for and resistant to extraction cleaning. If in doubt, try on a corner of the rug or surface to be cleaned and wait until completely dry to verify the result. NB: if the fabric surface being cleaned has been previously washed using shampoo other than the type supplied, this may cause excessive foam to form inside the drum. If foam leaks from the head, switch the appliance off immediately and empty the drum. Set the appliance up as described in point 1 (dry vacuum function). Plug the appliance into the mains socket and turn on using the vacuum button (fig. IMPORTANT: the appliance can hold around 8 litres of water in the liquid collection drum. Over this level, a special device stops suction and the motor increases speed. If this occurs, you should turn off the motor, unplug the appliance and empty the liquid collection drum. TURNING ON To empty the drum, the following must be removed in sequence (fig. N): - water or water + shampoo selector (5); - delivery tube (16); - hose coupling (17); - external tank (6); - motor unit of the appliance (3). This provides a combined steam + brush action for more thorough cleaning (fig. [. . . ] Plug the appliance into the mains socket and press the vacuum (19) and cold water (21) buttons. Use the same technique as for cleaning (see sec- RINSING NB: do not press the extraction cleaning buttons if there is no detergent solution or water in the tanks, or when the appliance is being used as a dry or wet vacuum cleaner. In the event of incorrect use of the pump (function activated and no detergent solution available for more than 15 minutes), a safety device stops pump operation to prevent damage.
