Manual abstract: user guide DELONGHI ICM 80

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Failure to observe the above points may affect the safety of the appliance. · The power cable of this appliance must never be replaced by the user as it requires the use of special tools. If the power cable is damaged or needs replacing, contact an authorized Service Centre. · Remove the plug from the mains socket and turn off the main switch when the appliance is not in use. [. . . ] · After 80 cycles or six months of operation, the chlorine filter must be replaced. · Place the ground coffee in the filter, using the measure supplied, and level evenly (Fig. As a general rule, use a level measuring spoon of ground coffee (around 7 grams) for each cup (for example, 8 spoons to make 8 cups). If you prepare 11-12 cups, reduce the quantity of coffee and never exceed a maximum of 11 level spoons. The quantity of ground coffee used may, however, be varied according to personal taste. Use good quality, medium ground coffee, packaged for drip coffee makers. · Close the filter holder and place the jug on the warming plate with the lid on. The ON light above the switch indicates that the coffee maker is in operation. It is completely normal for the appliance to release a little steam while the coffee is percolating. · If the "ON/OFF" switch is left in the ON position after percolation, the warming plate will keep the coffee at the ideal temperature. Important: removing the jug before all the coffee requested is made does not interrupt production of the coffee, but merely blocks flow into the jug. If you want to pour out a little coffee immediately, you are recommended to do so as rapidly as possible in order to avoid the coffee overflowing. Important: the timer enables you to have your coffee ready and waiting whenever you want. 1 Turn the knob (T) until the red pointer indicates the time when you want the coffee to be ready (fig. Make sure the appliance is plugged into the mains electricity supply by watching the seconds pointer turn. The appliance has a 12 hour clock, so programming must be for less than this time. HOW TO PREPARE THE DRIP COFFEE · Lift the cap and remove the water tank (Fig. · Fill the tank with fresh, clean water up to the level corresponding to the number of cups of coffee required. · Place the tank back in the coffee maker, pressing it lightly. The tank may also be filled without being removed, using the jug marked with the level indicators (Fig. · Position the permanent filter (if fitted) in the filter holder (fig. In other versions, use the #4 paper filter. 9 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Before performing any cleaning or maintenance operations, turn the machine off, unplug it from the power socket and allow it to cool down. [. . . ] If it does not fit your socket, the plug should be cut off from the mains lead, and an appropriate plug fitted, as below. WARNING: Very carefully dispose of the cut off plug after removing the fuse: do not insert in a 13 Amp socket elsewhere in the house as this could cause a shock hazard. With alternative plugs not incorporating a fuse, the circuit must be protected by a 15 Amp fuse. If the plug is a moulded-on type, the fuse cover must be re-fitted when changing the fuse using a 13 Amp Asta approved fuse to BS 1362. [. . . ]
