If it does not fit your socket, the plug should be cut off from the mains lead, and an appropriate plug fitted, as below. INSTALLATION The appliance can be used as a portable unit only, resting on any horizontal surface. The appliance must not be positioned directly underneath a fixed power point. OPERATION - Summer use (ventilation only): turn the knob clockwise to the position. - Setting the thermostat: when the room temperature has reached the desired level, slowly turn the thermostat dial counter-clockwise until the pilot light goes out but no further. the thermostat will now automatically maintain the temperature at the desired level. - Anti-freeze function With the knob of the thermostat in position , the appliance maintains the room at a temperature of about 5°C, thus preventing freezing with a minimal expenditure of energy. - During the season when the appliance is in use, clean the air intake and outlet grille regularly. CAUTION - Do not make use of this heater in the immediate proximity of showers, bathrubs, swimming pools, etc. [. . . ] Obstruction of air intake and outlet grilles, motor turning slowly or not at all).
