In this way the room temperature remains constant with the most economical use of electricity. Except on particularly cold days, it is generally not necessary to select maximum power; one of the lower power setting should be sufficient in milder weather. 3) To set the heating periods proceed in the following manner: Setting the Timer- if fitted Set the timer correct time. turn the numbered dial of the time-clock in a clockwise direction until the number 11 coincides with the reference mark s on the clock. Set the time period during which you wish the appliance to work by pushing the notches towards the centre. At this point sections will be visible, corresponding to the working periods. Once the lever has been positioned on the heater will automatically work only during the preset time in periods. To change programmed operating times, just pull notch back to original position and reset timer for new functioning period. MAINTENANCE Your oil filled radiator is absolutely free from maintenance, fully reliable and will give many years of trouble free service. Occasionally wipe heater with soft damp cloth, do not use detergents or abrasives. If necessary, use a vacuum cleaner to remove any built-up dirt (fig. 4). IMPORTANT NOTES · Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool. · when using the appliance for the first time, switch it on for al least 2 hours with the thermostat in the maximum position in order to eliminate the "new" smell that is typical of all new appliances. · It is normal for the appliance to emit small crackling sounds when you first turn it on. · The heater must not be located directly below a socket-outlet.
