If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a cord with an ampere rating equal to or greater than the maximum rating of the iron shall be used. A cord rated for less amperage can result in a risk of fire or electric shock due to overheating. Care shall be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or be tripped over. For correct operation of the super steam function, you must wait a few seconds between one burst of steam and the next. VERTICAL IRONING Enables delicate garments to be steamed without resting them on the ironing board: pay attention to the temperature used to steam hanging fabrics. Rotate the thermostat knob H clockwise as far as it will go (maximum steam position). When the indicator light D goes off, place the iron in a vertical position and move it near the garment. Press the super steam button G until the indicator light D comes on again. When the light (D) goes off, place the iron in an upright position and move it near the garment, then press the turbo button (G). For efficient vertical ironing, wait for a few 9 seconds between one burst of steam and the next until the light D goes off. Never direct the "vertical" steam jet at a garment hanging in a wardrobe or worn by a person. Vertical ironing should always be carried out with the garment hanging on a clothes stand and always away from other garments, elements, people and animals.
