CHECK THE TELEPHONE LINE CONNECTION -- CHECK THE TELEPHONE JACK -- CONNECT THE MODEM DIRECTLY TO THE TELEPHONE WALL JACK -- USE A DIFFERENT TELEPHONE LINE -- · Verify that the telephone line is connected to the jack on the modem.
