When using the grill in the open grill position, use both drip cups, placing them on either side of the appliance under the drip spouts (fig. It will let you prepare foods like fish, meat, vegetables or fruit of different thickness and cook the food to your liking. - When you use the open grill position, the food items will need to be turned so that they cook evenly. - Grilling food on the multi-function Griddle and Grill is one of the healthiest ways to cook. The ribs on the cooking plate combined with the drip cups located at the corner of the plates allow the grease to drain and thus reduce the amount of grease in your food. Make sure the plug is properly plugged into the outlet, that you selected a cooking method, and that the appliance has preheated properly. Check the temperature selected or the cooking method for the food and make sure the appliance is properly preheated. Use the grill in the barbecue or in the combined option position and cook each kind of food on a different plate, this way the food flavours won't mix. The plates with "lower" inscribed in them are inserted into the lower part and those with "upper" inscribed on them are inserted into the upper part by simply clipping them in place. After letting the appliance cool, wipe with a hot, damp cloth but do not run water over it. To preserve the non-stick quality of the cooking plates, never allow them to heat up too long with no food on them and never wash them with abrasive cleansers or pads. ⷠUse wooden or heat-proof plastic utensils to turn food items and avoid cutting food while it is on the plates. ⷠCut the food items to the same thickness for even cooking. ⷠWith practice, you'll become accustomed to cooking times and to the setting necessary for cooking food to your liking. ⷠPrepare marinades based on spices or condiments for meat or fish, your preparations will be flavourful and more tender. ⷠWhen you are finished using your multi-function Griddle and Grill, use the heat of the plates to remove excess grease and food residue with a damp cloth, taking care not to burn yourself. ⷠIf you use the grill to cook seafood, wipe the plates with lemon juice to prevent the seafood flavour from being transferred to the next preparation.
