[. . . ] - When charging the player for the first time or the player has not been charged for an extended time, fully charge the battery before use. To prolong the life of the battery, it is recommended that you charge the device frequently, as opposed to fully discharging and then charging the device. - For safety during charging, use USB cable approved by COWON SYSTEMS, Inc. The red LED lamp appears when charging, and it takes about 1. 5 hours before it is fully charged. Format the product as MS-DOS(FAT), and transfer the files. iAUDIO E2 23 + Battery Replacement + Product Disposal The rechargeable batteries have limited number of charge cycles, and it will require a replacement as capacity to hold power will eventually diminish.
