NOTE: If the LED changes to a rapid flash and the engine will not start, hold the coded tag near the ignition switch to disarm the system. Valet Mode To prevent an unauthorized person from entering programming mode and possibly adding their own coded tag, you can put the AMX28 into Valet Mode. In Valet Mode, a valet attendant or service personnel can start the vehicle while you keep the coded tag in your possession. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position with the doors closed. Turn the ignition key OFF and then ON three times (OFF, ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON). The LED will flash at a medium rate to indicate the AMX28 is in Valet Mode. Remove the coded tag from your key chain. 1 To Turn Off Valet Mode 1. Turn the ignition key OFF and then ON three times (OFF, ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON). The LED will turn off to indicate the AMX28 is out of Valet Mode. Adding/Deleting Coded Transponder Tags 1. [. . . ] When you have finished adding the transponder tags into memory, turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position to exit programming.
