Click the [File] menu and select the [Organize Image] submenu, followed by [Sort Images]. The Sort Images dialog will appear. Select the shooting date option or Star Rating option and click [Next]. Renaming Folders 1. Click the [File] menu and select the [Organize Image] submenu, followed by [Rename]. The renaming settings window will display. 1. 2. In the Explorer Panel, click on the folder name. After a moment, you can type the new name. Type a new folder name and press the [return] key. Set the options in this window and click [OK]. The image file names will change. Place a check mark here if you wish a file with the new name to be created separately from the original file. Select a name format. Type the text in the "New Name" spot for the name format selected above. Set the Number of digits and the starting number for the name format selected above. REFERENCE · For information about Star Rating settings, see the Setting Star Ratings and for information about keyword settings, see the Assigning Keywords in this chapter. 3. Set the search criteria. Place a check mark beside your chosen criterion and set its individual settings. 1. Click the [File] menu and select [Search]. The search criteria settings window will open. Sets whether images are searched according to all the parameters or just one. Clicking here allows you to hide the search parameters. Set the search parameters here. Click [Search Now] when you finish setting the criteria. A list of images found by the search will display. When you click [OK] in the confirmation dialog, the "Search Results" folder is created in the Explorer Panel section and displays the images matching the search criteria. Check the search results and click [Finish]. To reset the search criteria, click [Back] and repeat steps 3-4. IMPORTANT · The original image will also be deleted when you delete an image from the Search Results folder. REFERENCE · You can select, print or copy the images in the Search Results folder to another. · Images will remain registered in the Search Results folder until you close ImageBrowser or perform another search. REFERENCE · Moving or copying images in ImageBrowser affects the actual location in which those images are stored on your computer. · When you use the Finder to modify files or folders while ImageBrowser is open, those changes might not be reflected in the ImageBrowser window. To remedy this, click [Refresh] on the [View] menu. Moving or copying in the Explorer Panel Section When you want to move an image, you first need to display it in the Browser Area. Then, drag that image to the destination folder in the Explorer Panel Section.
