Selecting the proper temperature The quality of the pressing depends partly on the quantity of the steam you use and partly on using a suitable heat. Labels on articles to be pre11ssed indicate the correct ironing temperature using the following International ironing Symbols : G Minimum heat GG Medium heat GGG Maximum heat These symbols are marked on the thermostat selector of the machine. - Turn the thermostat to the position corresponding to the fabric to be pressed and to the symbol indicated on the fabric label. [. . . ] If the anti-scale cartridge is not changed, then soon after, steam generation will be stopped automatically by the EMC system. To produce steam again, either the anti-scale cartridge must be changed or distilled water must be used. After changing the cartridge, the unit must be turned off and on in order to recreate normal operating conditions.
