On the Primary Node tab, set the IP address or hostname of the primary node of your cluster, as well as the first TCP port used by this primary node. - The IP address or hostname must be the same as the one you used when configuring your primary node. For performance reasons, it is often a good policy to locate application files, temporary files and personal documents on separate disks or machines. You can therefore better control where the heavier transaction loads are likely to occur, and avoid bottlenecks before they happen. At the end of configuring a secondary node, the Cluster Preferences Page appears. If you have already configured the nodes, go to Modifying storage and other directories on page 124. In the Storage Directory field, enter or browse for the path to the folder you want to use for cluster storage. The Cluster Management page re-appears. For the Storage directory, you can: · change the Storage directory that is shared by all nodes in the cluster You must use a mapped network drive that is shared by the cluster. · set a Storage directory that is shared by two primary nodes In this case, Business Objects recommends that you locate the directory on a third machine and point the two primary nodes to that directory. Highlight Cluster Preferences, select Update cluster preferences from the drop-down list, and then click Next. The Directories page appears.
