Deleting all messages 1. Wait until all messages have been played back and you hear "End of messages. During the next 8 seconds, press Del . You will hear "All messages deleted". Call screening When your answering machine takes an incoming call, you can listen to the caller over the loudspeaker. When the phone rings, let the machine answer the call and wait until the caller begins to leave their message. Your Decor 425 will automatically stop recording. To screen calls, make sure the answer machine is switched on and that the loudspeaker volume is set to an audible level. Remote access Remote access lets you switch on your Decor 425 answering machine and listen to your messages from any TouchtoneTM telephone. Before you can access your messages, you must enter a 3-digit security code. The pre-set security code is 000, but you can change this to a more memorable number. Press and hold Del . "Security code setting" is announced. Release Del . You will hear "First digit" and the current setting. Use Skip and Skip to move through the digits 0 ­ 9 . YZ WX Each number is announced as you skip through. 24 Remote access 4. When you hear the number you want, press Del . You will hear "Second digit" and the current setting. When you have set all three digits, your new security code will be announced. General information 31 Cleaning Clean your Decor 425 with a damp (not wet) cloth, or an anti-static wipe. Never use a dry cloth as this may cause static shock. Subject to the terms listed below the guarantee will provide for the repair of, or at BT's or its agent's discretion the option to replace the BT Decor 425, or any component thereof, which is identified as faulty or below standard, or as a result of inferior workmanship or materials.
