[. . . ] BT Baby Monitor 150 User Guide Section Welcome. . . to your BT Baby Monitor 150 TM · Digital sound quality with high definition sound (Hi-dS ) lets you hear your baby breathe, gurgle, snuffle or cry with complete clarity. · Wireless range of up to 300m outdoors and up to 50m indoors (in ideal conditions) - giving you the freedom to move around with clear reception and no interference from other baby monitors. · Link light provides continuous confidence that the Parent unit is receiving a signal from the Baby unit and will alert you if the link is lost. · Talk Back feature lets you instantly reassure and calm your baby. [. . . ] You can use the Parent unit to monitor baby while it is charging. If you experience any problems, please call the Helpline on 0808 100 6554* Using your BT Baby Monitor 150 15 Adjust speaker volume There are 5 volume levels (and off) on the Parent unit. The volume level is displayed. On the Parent unit, the volume can be switched off. The display shows Volume Off. Changing the volume setting on the Baby unit affects the volume when you use the Talk Back feature and when playing a lullaby. Talk Back You can use the Talk Back feature to comfort and reassure your baby. Whilst using Talk Back you will not be able to hear your baby until you release the button. Press and hold on the Parent unit to speak to baby. The display on the Parent unit shows Talk and the green link lights on both Units flash. Release to hear your baby again. Adjust Talk Back volume The Baby unit has 5 volume levels. During Talk Back, press or on the Baby unit to increase or decrease the volume. If you experience any problems, please call the Helpline on 0808 100 6554* 16 Using your BT Baby Monitor 150 Paging You can use the button on the Baby unit to find the Parent unit. This will also reset the speaker volume level, in case it has been switched off. If the Parent unit volume was set to off, this will automatically reset the volume to the default volume. To stop the Page alert, press any button on the Parent unit, or press again on the Baby unit. If no button is pressed, the paging tone will stop after 2 minutes. The Parent unit menu The button on your Parent unit can be used to select and change the settings on the Baby unit without having to risk disturbing your baby. Press to switch off. Nightlight Set a comforting nightlight with a choice of three brightness levels. Press to switch the nightlight On or Off. repeatedly to select the brightness settings. At the Parent unit: You can switch the Nightlight On or Off. The Parent unit will then exit the menu automatically. If you experience any problems, please call the Helpline on 0808 100 6554* 18 Using your BT Baby Monitor 150 Pre-set temperature alert range The Baby unit comes with pre-set minimum and maximum temperatures, so if the temperature falls below or goes above the setting an alert will sound and the display will also show High or Low as appropriate. Healthcare professionals advise that the ideal temperature for your baby's room is between 16oC and 20oC. The temperature sensor used in this BT Baby Monitor 150 is intended as a guide, to provide parents with an indication of the room temperature in which the unit has been placed. It is designed to operate within an approximate tolerance of +/- 1°C and is not intended to be as accurate as some medical devices. Temperature Your BT Baby Monitor 150 constantly monitors the temperature in your baby's room and alerts you if it gets too hot or too cold. This temperature is displayed clearly on both the Baby and Parent units. Adjust the temperature alert You can set a minimum and maximum temperature range so that your BT Baby Monitor 150 alerts you if the temperature goes above or below these settings. to change the maximum temperature setting. to return to the standby display.
