The shoulder belt should fit snugly against the shoulder, not on the neck, of the child and lay directly across the child's chest. 9 Tighten the lap and shoulder belt and make sure the belt is not twisted. A E B D 8 C F 9 Installation Without Backrest IMPORTANT: Use the Roadster without backrest for children who weigh between 65 and 100 lbs. Place the child onto the Roadster 2 Take the lap and shoulder belt and place over the body of the child and fasten the seat belt. 3 The lap portion of the three point belt must be under the arm rests. The lap belt portion should be as low as possible, tightened over the legs of the child. 4 Place the shoulder part of the belt over the upper torso of the child. 5 Tighten the belt and make sure the belt is not twisted and never behind the back of the child.
