CHROMATIC mode: You can play any of the twelve notes in the chromatic scale (C4­B4). When you're using the Flat feature, the pitch of the tones played is adjusted accordingly. When you're using Sound mode, tuning cannot be performed using the built-in mic (the built-in mic is disabled). When using battery power, if the RPS-10 remains in the state described below for approximately thirty minutes after it was turned on, the power will automatically be switched off. You can temporarily deactivate the Auto Power Off feature when you power up the RPS-10. Rhythm Style Number This indicates the rhythm style number (the way the metronome sound) that you choose. If the battery is removed or is depleted, all data saved in memory may be lost. * When turning the unit upside-down, place it on a soft cloth or the like so as to prevent damage to the panel. If you're tuning an acoustic instrument, use the built-in mic instead. To use the mic, make sure that nothing is connected to the INPUT or OUTPUT jacks, and place the RPS-10 near the instrument. * To prevent malfunction and/or damage to speakers or other devices, always turn down the volume, and turn off the power on all devices before making any connections. Open the battery compartment (located on the bottom of the unit) by sliding the cover toward OPEN. * Make sure the "+" and "-" terminals of the battery are oriented correctly. Press [SEL], then press [ ] [ ] to choose the tuning mode (CHROMATIC, GUITAR, or BASS). If necessary, press [SEL] with [ ] and [ ] to make settings for Flat tuning and/or the reference pitch.
