Be sure that the installation and operation of this system is in compliance with local rules and regulations. SHOCK HAZARD!There are no user-serviceable parts within the unit. BV60S User's Manual - page 2 Installation precautions Choose a mounting location in your vehicle where the unit will not distract or otherwise interfere with the driver's ability to control the vehicle. [. . . ] If installation requires drilling holes or other modifications to the vehicle, consult with your nearest dealer or professional car audio installer. Use only the installation parts and hardware provided with the unit to ensure proper installation. Using other parts can cause malfunction and possible damage to your video monitor. Before final installation, temporarily connect the wiring according to the diagram near the end of this manual, check it to ensure that it has been connected properly, and test the unit to make sure it is working correctly. After the monitor is installed, do not arbitrarily pull it down or strike it. This may loosen the mounting screws and cause it to fall down. Operating precautions Turn the unit off when it is not in use. Avoid dropping any metal objects or inflammable items into the monitor ventilation slots. Do not place objects on or suspend objects from the power cord, as this may damage the cord. When first unpacking your new flipdown monitor, please check first that the package contains all of the items below. If something is missing, contact the store where you purchased the player. Thread the cable through the hole in the lower left corner of the monitor shroud (if the monitor is in the shroud, first see the section called "Removing the Monitor" and follow the instructions for removal). Insert the monitor shroud into the cavity in the visor to test the fit and make any adjustments necessary. When you are satisfied, use hot glue to attach the monitor shroud to the visor. Be sure to hold the monitor firmly in place, applying gentle pressure, until you are sure the hot glue has hardened. Connect the AV/power cable from the monitor to the cable you have already installed in the visor. Then place the monitor into the shroud and gently press until you hear a "click. " BV60S User's Manual - page 9 Removing the monitor Should you need to remove the monitor from the shroud, insert the removal key as shown in the diagram below. Insert the two prongs of the key into the gap between the monitor and the shroud (as shown in the diagram) to depress the two snap catches on the side of the monitor which secure it. Then use the key to gently lift the right side of the monitor out of the shroud and remove it. Be sure to push the monitor all the way back in until you feel a click when you are reassembling the monitor system. Insert the removal key into the gap on the right side of the monitor to depress the tabs to release it. Changing the battery in the remote control The remote battery is held in a small "drawer" on one edge of the remote.
