[. . . ] SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS ­ This manual contains important safety and operating instructions for the Bose® SoundDock Portable and SoundLink® car charger. Before using the charger, read all instructions and cautionary markings on the charger, battery, and the product using the battery. CAUTION ­ To reduce risk of injury, only use this charger with SoundDock Portable and SoundLink batteries. Use of an attachment not recommended or sold by the charger manufacturer may result in a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons. To reduce risk of damage to the 12-volt plug and cord, pull by the plug rather than by the cord when disconnecting the charger. Make sure the cord is located so that it will not be stepped on, tripped over, or otherwise subjected to damage or stress. Do not operate the charger with a damaged 12-volt plug or cord ­ replace it immediately. Do not operate charger if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped, or otherwise been damaged in any way; take it to a qualified service person. Do not disassemble the charger; take it to a qualified service person when service or repair is required. To reduce the risk of electric shock, unplug the charger before attempting any maintenance or cleaning. Turning off controls will not reduce this risk. Operating Instructions This car charger works with both the SoundDock® Portable and SoundLink® systems. After 6 hours of charging or playing music while the car charger is connected to your car battery, Bose recommends running your car engine 10 minutes for every hour of additional anticipated playback.
