DSC also identifies unstable driving conditions, such as a loss of traction at the rear of the vehicle or sliding of the vehicle in its front wheels. Under these circumstances, DSC helps the vehicle maintain a safe course within the physical limits by reducing the engine output and by applying the brakes in the individual wheels. An appropriate driving style always remains the responsibility of the driver.
