Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Owner's Manual Dear Friend: Congratulations on choosing quality craftsmanship and timeless design. Hand-built craftsmanship is sacrificed for the lower costs of automated assembly. That's great for every-day items but the soul of a product is often lost when designers care primarily about manufacturing efficiency. We've poured heart and soul into making your Bigha a timeless classic. [. . . ] You can easily recalibrate the altimeter if you know the altitude at which your bicycle is located. Presume the bike is at a known altitude of 925 feet but the altimeter reads 12, 260 (it is unlikely you'll ever have an error this large but it makes a great example). Bigha Bicycle Manual V2. 1 www. bigha. com Phone: 541. 738. 4340 Page 44 ELECTRONICS To recalibrate, enter the Setup screen by pressing Select and Down simultaneously and holding them for ½ second or so. The ten thousands number has an underline--the cursor--indicating it is the value being adjusted. Every press of the Up button increases that value and every Down press decreases it. If you reach the maximum possible value for a digit and press Up again, the value rolls over to the beginning. For example, if an allowed range of numbers is 0-9, pressing Up twelve times in a row will show the following 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0, 1, 2. . . The exact reverse is true when you press the Down key and numbers will go like this 1, 0, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0. . . Altitude 12, 260 feet The ten thousands number can only have two values: 0 and 1. That's because the maximum altitude is 14, 000 feet (higher than the highest paved road in the world). When the desired value is displayed, press Select to register it. Bigha Bicycle Manual V2. 1 www. bigha. com Phone: 541. 738. 4340 Page 45 ELECTRONICS Altitude 0, 260 feet Use the Up and Down arrow exactly as before to choose the correct thousands value. Press Select after it is chosen and the cursor moves to the hundreds digit. Altitude 960 feet Hundreds works a little different because altitude can be less than zero, so values of -3 to +9 are possible. Press Up or Down arrow to choose 9 and press Select. Bigha Bicycle Manual V2. 1 www. bigha. com Phone: 541. 738. 4340 Page 46 ELECTRONICS Altitude 920 feet Use the Up or Down key to set the tens digit to 2. Press Select. Altitude 925 feet Set the ones digit to 5 and press select again. Recalibration is complete and you'll return to the Riding screen. If you make a mistake just select Altitude again from the setup screen and enter the correct value. Bigha Bicycle Manual V2. 1 www. bigha. com Phone: 541. 738. 4340 Page 50 ELECTRONICS COMPASS Your compass senses the earth's magnetic field to determine direction. Sometimes it can get out of adjustment, especially if you park the bike near anything magnetic: including large stereo speakers. All you need is an open area that is at least 50 feet away from any large metal objects (metal buildings, cars, etc. ). Choose the Compass function from the setup screen: Compass Calibrate Cancel Press Calibrate to begin the process or Cancel to exit without change. Done Slowly walk your bike in a circle (aim for 1015 seconds per circle) while keeping the bike as upright as possible. Turning more than one full circle does no harm, but turning less can spoil the process. Press Done when finished. Turn your bike in a circle again to verify that the compass is working. Directional information will not appear if calibration was unsuccessful. [. . . ] When setting the wheel down, make sure the shift pin faces up so it doesn't get bent.
