Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Ensure that fluids can never permeate into the appliance, whether during cleaning or from the leaking of fluids during the sealing process. Ensure that the power plug is at all times freely accessible, so that in a case of emergency it can be quickly removed from the power source. Ensure that when the appliance is in use the power cable cannot become jammed or damaged in any way. Should the power cable or the power plug become damaged, in order to minimise potential risks arrange for Customer Services to replace them before continuing to use the appliance. [. . . ] For sealing use only films made of PE-HD (Polyethylene of high density). Otherwise, the sealing seam will not be tight and the appliance could be damaged. You can recognise films of this type by the inscription "PE-HD" on the packaging. If the control lamp y does not go out after a maximum of 10 seconds, the appliance is defective!Press simultaneously on the two unlocking devices left a and right i and open up the appliance cover u. Press down the appliance cover u on the outer sides until it audibly clicks in at left and right. Re-open the appliance cover u, as described above, and remove the film. This bag can now be filled and the other end sealed by the same procedure. Fill the bags in such a way that, under no circumstances, food remnants or fluids can run out of the bag when sealing it and permeate into the appliance. When sealing, you can at the same time extract the air from the bag (vacuuming): Do NOT vacuum bags in which there are liquids. If it does not, the extraction supports r can block and fail to function. Do not wrap the power cable around the appliance, use the guides provided on the bottom of the appliance. Store the appliance where it will be dry and free from dust and particles, so that nothing can lodge in the suction device. First remove the power plug from the wall socket and allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning it or placing it into storage. Close the appliance cover u and press it down on both sides, until a "click" is heard and the appliance cover u locks in at the sides. Should food remnants unintentionally be sucked in when vacuuming, a filter protects the appliance from damages. Clean the filter as soon as contamination is visible: As soon as the air has been sucked from the bag, press and hold the broad button o with both hands, as already described, and seal the bag. Press left and right on the clips f to the filter box and remove this completely in an upwards direction. [. . . ] Otherwise the sealing wire and the isolation below it could be damaged. In the event of malfunction or apparent damage, make contact with Customer Services. This appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before delivery. In the case of a warranty claim, please make contact by telephone with our service department. [. . . ]
