[. . . ] Always take the carafe and brewing chamber out of the main unit before you fill with water. Switch off the device (press the switch "0") before you open the lid. This automatically switches the device off again if the device has been switched on with no water in it. [. . . ] - Before using the tea and coffee maker for the first time please carry out the following: - Remove the brewing chamber. Fill the glass carafe up to the maximum mark with water and add a teaspoonful of lemon juice (or lemon concentrate). If no lemon is available, place a teabag (or a teaspoonful of tea leaves directly into the water. Do not heat milk in the tea and coffee maker. OPERATION 1 2 3 4 Take the carafe off the base.
