Manual abstract: user guide BIAMP AP4622 POWER AMP

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Power Indicator LED On the left of the front panel, the VI-6 has a single LED that indicates power and connectivity status: 1. Not illuminated: The device is not powered. 2. Flashing green: The unit is receiving power but not data, or the unit has not been configured correctly. 3. Solid green: The unit is operational, has been configured and is receiving PoE. Signal LEDs Six LEDs located in the center of the front panel act as audio signal identifiers for the four input channels and are useful for setting optimum signal levels. [. . . ] please see the table below for the signal mapping to each of the LEDs. Detailed metering of current output levels can be obtained in real time via the Vocia software interface. -3 -18 Red Clip Yellow Nominal -48 Green Threshold Red Signal above clip threshold > -3dBFS Yellow Signal above nominal but below clip threshold > -18dBFS < -3dBFS Green Signal above minimum but below nominal threshold > -48dBFS < -18dBFS Dark Signal below minimum threshold < -48dBFS 3 . Control LEDs The control LEDs signal the current state of the control I/Os. The first four are input status indicators, and the second four are output status indicators. They have three states: Yellow Relays are energized Green > input threshold 4 Dark Not active VI-6 rear Panel cOntrOls Control Inputs BIAMP SYSTEMS Designed in Australia Assembled in USA N24138 YEL:in use/conductor GRN:link/act RCA Inputs +Input 5 Paging Ports 1 2 +- Input 1 LR Input 3 LR Model VI-6 Control Inputs Device ID GND CobraNet® PoE IEEE 802. 3af Class 0 Control Outputs LR LR Input 4 MSB LSB C NC NO C NC NO 1 2 C NC NO 3 C NC NO 4 3 4 10V (100mA) +- Input 2 +- +- Input 6 1 2 3 4 Device ID Network Connection Control Outputs plug-in Barrier Strip Analog Inputs Not Active Network Connection The VI-6 has one RJ45 connector that should wired to standard copper Ethernet cabling to interface the VI-6 to a Vocia system via a poEcompliant network switch. The RJ45 connector has two LEDs that indicate Ethernet link and network activity (see table below). Left LED None None Flashing yellow Flashing yellow Flashing yellow Right LED None Green Green Flashing green None Description No power or data connectivity. Link established and CobraNet activity detected; the unit is acting as a CobraNet performer. Link established and CobraNet activity detected; the unit is operating as a CobraNet conductor. Inputs 5 and 6 are designed for microphone or line-level inputs and include phantom power. All plug-in barrier strip connectors should be wired from left to right as follows: 1. ( ) Ground Ground Screw This screw provides a connection point to ground the chassis of the VI-6. The power supply to the VI-6 is sourced from poE, which may have no connection to ground. The chassis of the VI-6 should be connected to a safety ground (main power supply ground) using the Ground Screw 7 VI-6 InstallatIOn Installation The VI-6 requires one 1. 75 inch (44. 45mm) high and 19 inch wide (483mm) rack space with 10 inch (254mm) depth. Mounting the unit using four screws with washers will prevent marring of the front panel. Please install the unit away from heat sources, such as vents and radiators, and in rooms with adequate ventilation. Ensure that air can circulate freely behind, beside, and above the unit. Do not exceed the maximum ambient operating temperature of 113 degrees F (45°C). [. . . ] Ensure that air can circulate freely behind, beside, and above the unit.
