Introduction The Modbus card allows the RSi S-Series drive to be connected to and controlled over a Modbus network. The card uses the Modbus RTU protocol utilizing 8 data bits, 1 stop bit and no parity. Up to 32 drives or other Modbus slave devices may be connected in a multi-drop fashion on the RS-485 Modbus network and may be monitored or controlled by a single PLC or PC. [. . . ] A maximum of 8 registers can be read or written at a time. 3. 1 Mutual Group The registers in the Mutual Group contain meter and status information that is not available in the other groups. Also, all of the registers from the Drive Group are duplicated in the Mutual Group. Once power is lost, these registers will return to the last values set through the Drive Group. To permanently change the command frequency, acceleration time or deceleration time, use registers 8192 (Cmd. time) instead.
