LEVEL Control The rotary Level control works in conjunction with the PAD switch to adjust the gain for that input channel (mic and line inputs). They also control the output of the internal power amplifiers when the routing switch is set to 'STEREO'. MASTER EFFECT Control Sets the overall output level towards the built-in Digital multieffect unit (= Effect Send). TAPE IN (RCA Sockets) L/R Connect these input sockets with the output of your tape recorder, MD recorder etc. When using external effect units with only one output, use only the 'R Mono' socket. When using external effect units with stereo outputs, use both sockets Return L / R. POWER ROUTING / STEREO (SWITCH 'POWER AMP MODE') The Power Routing system of the SX840 allows the use of the internal power amplifiers for a) the main speakers (front) or the monitor speakers.
