[. . . ] > Press the relevant button to switch the required function on or off . The Route options button You can edit your driving profile in the Route options settings window. The settings made here have an effect on the route selection and on the calculation of the estimated journey times. > After pressing the button next to Route type select one of the following options. Option Meaning Optimal route With this option, the optimum route in terms of travel time and mileage is calculated. Fast route With this option, the fastest route in terms of travel time is calculated. Short route With this option, the shortest route in terms of mileage is calculated. Easy route With this option, a route with as few manoeuvres as possible is calculated. This setting affects the calculation of the estimated time of arrival and for the setting 'bicycle', for example, it blocks the motorway. >>> >D > GB >F >I >E >P > NL > DK >S >N > FIN > TR > GR > PL > CZ >H > SK 48 NAVIGATION MODE Displaying different route types You can use the Traffic Assist to display previously described routes. Note: This function can only be selected if route guidance is already active or the route option setting was called up from a destination input window. The individual routes are calculated one after another and marked on the map. Note: Please note that, in many cases, the fastest route will overlay a simple or optimum route. Avoiding particular types of road After pressing the button next to Avoid you can exclude various types of road, e. g. You can set one of the following options for each of these road types. Option Permitted Meaning With this option, the road type in question is included in calculating the route. With this option, the road type in question is avoided where possible. With this option, the road type in question is not included in calculating the route. Avoid Prohibited > Confirm your selection by pressing the OK button. The area on the right-hand side shows the colour key for the individual routes, the mileage for each route and the estimated driving time. NAVIGATION MODE The Junction info button In the Junction info settings window you can turn on or off the help available for complex turnings, such as motorway intersections or certain multi-lane roads. The TMC button You can configure settings for the reception of traffic announcements in the TMC settings window. > Press TMC in the settings menu. The Junction info settings window appears. Note: This information can only be displayed if it is contained in the map material. > Press the required option to turn the corresponding function on or off . > Confirm your selection by pressing the OK button.
