[. . . ] WARNING: For your safety, the information in this manual must be followed to minimize the risk of fire or explosion, or to prevent property damage, personal injury, or death. Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance. WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS: · Do not try to light any appliance. Do not touch any electrical switch; do not use any phone in your building. [. . . ] When the cycle has finished, a "DRY" message will be displayed and the end of cycle signal will sound (if set). (The damp signal sounds during the cycle to indicate when the clothes go from wet to damp. ) Promptly remove garments when cycle is done to reduce wrinkling, or you can make sure the Wrinkle ShieldTM feature is set. Touch the Learn More button to display additional information about using a cycle or feature, if desired. Use this cycle to smooth out wrinkles and reduce odor from loads consisting of one to twelve dry items of wrinkle-free cotton, cotton-polyester blend, common knits and synthetic garments to be refreshed by touching the arrow keys up or down to increase or decrease the number of garments. Some cycles, such as Quick Refresh and Enhanced Touch Up, add a small amount of water to the dryer drum after several minutes of tumbling with heat. Steam may also be added as an option with the Wrinkle Shield feature to help minimize wrinkling. 100% cotton garments with wrinkle-free finish may yield better results than those without. Use of a fabric softener sheet is not recommended with steam cycles as it may cause temporary staining on the clothes. This cycle is best for touching up clothes that have been left in the dryer too long. In this cycle, a small amount of water is sprayed into the dryer drum after several minutes of tumbling with heat. The dryer will continue to tumble with heat followed by a brief cool down. NOTE: Tightly packed loads can lead to poor drying performance, and may increase wrinkling and tangling. This option helps keep wrinkles from forming when you cannot unload the dryer promptly at the end of a cycle. By adding the Static Reduce option to a cycle, a small amount of water is sprayed into the dryer drum after several minutes of tumbling with heat. To obtain a drying rack for your dryer, follow the instructions included in your dryer drum. Use the Drying Rack for items that you do not want to tumble dry, such as sweaters and tennis shoes. When you use the drying rack, the drum continues to turn, but the rack remains stationary. Your dryer features an EcoMonitor, which allows you to keep track of energy savings over time. Using cycles with the Eco option and drying on low heat will raise your Eco rating. Align the two hooks on the front of the drying rack with the holes in the dryer door opening and press down fully into holes. The dryer light automatically turns on inside the dryer drum when you open the door. [. . . ] All cycles are cooled slowly to reduced wrinkling and make it easier to handle. These cycles sense the temperature or the moisture level in the load and shut off when the load reaches the selected dryness. If loads are consistently ending too early, see also Changing the Automatic Dry Default Settings. For one year from the date of purchase, when this major appliance is operated and maintained according to instructions attached to or furnished with the product, Whirlpool Corporation or Whirlpool Canada LP (hereafter "Whirlpool") will pay for Factory Specified Parts and repair labor to correct defects in materials or workmanship that existed when this major appliance was purchased.
