[. . . ] The handle allows you to carry it as well as hang it on the enclosed wall bracket. Touch the operation panel on the top to switch on the radio or start playback of tracks on a loaded SD or MMC memory card. DC The sockets on the bottom allow you to connect the system to the mains for recharging, as well as load a memory card and connect headphones. You can also set your system to switch itself on and off automatically. The LED display on the front tells you what the system is doing. When you switch the system to standby, an indicator light appears in the middle of the display. The standby indicator also blinks every few seconds when the system needs to be recharged. [. . . ] Make sure that there is enough space above the system to allow the aerial to extend to its full length. 8 >> Daily use Play tracks from a memory card Your music system can play music tracks in mp3 and wma format in the first level of folders on a memory card. Unless you have loaded a new card, the track you last listened to is played. If you have loaded a new card, the first track in the first folder is played. If you do not resume playback within ten minutes, the system switches to standby. While stepping through tracks, the current folder and track are shown in the display. > Press and hold or to step rapidly between tracks. Do not attempt to load other card types than SD or MMC in the music system! 9 Step through folders. . . > Press A MEM, then DELETE in quick succession to cancel random playback. Tracks are then played in order. 10 >> Daily use Make a Wake-up Timer The Wake-up Timer is a once-only Timer, and must be programmed each time you wish to use it. > Press the button of the source you want to use for your Wake-up Timer; RADIO or A MEM. `Pr' (for a radio program) or `A' (for A MEM) is shown in the display. Check or delete a Wake-up Timer > While the system is in standby, press TIMER. Snooze You can activate a snooze function when a Wake-up Timer switches on the radio or starts memory card playback. Pressing any button or turning the wheel within the first ten seconds switches off the system for ten minutes, after which the Wake-up Timer is executed once more. To be able to make a Wake-up Timer, you must first set the clock as described on page 15. 11 Make a Stop Timer You can set ­ in increments of 15 minutes ­ how long the radio is to play before switching to standby. You can still switch to memory card playback or switch the system to standby before the Stop Timer is carried out. The number of minutes before the radio switches to standby is shown in the display. > When the desired number of minutes appears in the display, wait 5 seconds. The Stop Timer is then stored automatically. 12 Placement, connections and maintenance Placement Your music system is designed for indoor use in dry, domestic environments only, and for use within a temperature range of 0­40° C (32­105° F) and a relative humidity range of 25­75%. Make sure that the system is always placed on a firm, stable surface when not hanging from the enclosed wall bracket. Avoid placing the system in direct sunlight, near radiators or other sources of heat. Fastening the wall bracket Use the correct size and type of screws and wall anchors ­ taking into account the condition of the wall. Use three screws and wall anchors each with a minimum load rating of 3. 5 kg (7 lbs. ).
