You will be familiarised with the individual components of your new appliance. The tables list the setting values and shelf positions for numerous well known dishes, all of which are tested in our cooking studio. Always remove any flecks of limescale, grease, starch and egg white immediately Special stainless steel cleaning agents can be obtained from the after sales service or from specialist shops Cooking compartment interior Hot soapy water or a vinegar solution Use the enclosed sponge or a soft dish brush. The cooking compartment could rust Evaporator dish Seal around the outside of the cooking compartment Water tank Tank shaft Seal in the lid Rails Door panel Accessories Hot soapy water or a vinegar solution Hot soapy water Soapy water, do not clean in the dishwasher Rub dry after every use Thoroughly dry after every use Use hot, soapy water, or clean in the dishwasher Glass cleaner Soak in hot soapy water. Clean with a brush or sponge or in the dishwasher Clean stains caused by starchy food (e. g. rice) with a vinegar solution with stainless steel front 31 Descaling The appliance must be descaled at regular intervals in order for it to continue operating correctly. You can only dispense with descaling completely if you exclusively use softened water. Note: If the descale operation is cancelled, the appliance cannot be operated. Only after the first and second rinse can the appliance be used again, ensuring that no descaling solution remains in the appliance. [. . . ] Once defrosted, food will not keep for as long and spoils more quickly than fresh food. Leave the food to defrost in the freezer bag, on a plate or on the perforated cooking container. The food is then not left lying in the defrost water and the cooking compartment remains clean.
