When calibrating the compass, make sure the unit is at least 2 yards away from any source of magnetic interference. In addition, you can set high and low temperature limits on either scale; when a limit is reached or exceeded, the unit will sound a warning melody, repeating it every 5 seconds. As an additional feature, the temperature alarm limits can be automatically transmitted on the current channel, together with your user ID; this will occur every 5 minutes when the preset alarm temperature is reached or exceeded, provided the temperature plus transmit mode is enabled (+TX).
