Once selected, the Scan icon (SC) will appear steadily on the display. While in Scan mode, the unit will pause on any active channel for 5 seconds, and then proceed to the next higher channel. The unit will scan channels 1­14 for activity and scanning will continue until the PTT, monitor, or call button is pressed.
