NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE ATTENTION: before starting any operation, use or maintenance of the equipment it is strictly necessary to understand the following manual. To avoid any accidents or hazards it is necessary to follow the following regulations. Activate the equipment only prior checking if the installation has been properly made, and if it is related to the instructions contained in this manual. [. . . ] When the button is released, it regains its standard function while the available source is still shown on the display. This button allows activating the mono out, to select input bypass when the unit is in stand-by mode and to tune volume balance. you may modify set-up parameters by rotating the multifunctional selector. To exit set-up mode, press this button until the preamplifier functioning status is shown on the display. When mute is activated, volume level is reduced to background level and "Mute" signal is shown. When Maestro Line preamplifier is in standby mode, the display is turned off and the led lights blue. The led lights blue when the unit is in stand-by mode and the display is turned off. If one of the items listed above is missing, please contact your Audio Analogue retailer. After extracting the smallest items from the package, pull out the unit carefully. Where to place Maestro Line Preamplifier Maestro Line Preamplifier is a complex unit that may generate heat. In particular, you should leave at least 5cm around and above the unit and avoid placing it close to heat sources (radiators, heaters, amplifiers, television sets). Plugging and connecting Maestro Line Preamplifier First of all, you have to link the two sections of the unit using the three provided connectors. Before connecting Maestro Line Preamplifier to the sound source and to the amplifier, please be sure that all the units are unplugged from wall outlets. connect the sources to the Maestro Line Preamplifier inputs you want to use. Please use only high-quality cords with gold/rhodium-plated connectors. connect Maestro Line preamplifier pre outputs to the amplifier inputs. At last, plug the power cord into the Maestro Line Preamplifier inlet and into the wall outlet. Powering up Maestro Line Preamplifier When Maestro Line Preamplifier is plugged into a power outlet, the unit automatically turns on in Stand-by mode and a presentation message is shown on the display. This is intended to prevent the unit to suddenly turn on after power interruption. When the "STANDBY" button on the front panel or the "STBY" button on the remote controller is pressed, Maestro Line Preamplifier turns on and a presentation message is shown on the display. If nothing happens, please refer to the troubleshooting section of the present manual. Even if it is preferable to turn the unit off unplugging it from the outlet when unused for long periods of time or during lightning and electric storms, it is possible to leave it plugged when using it daily.
